				<div class="et_pb_text_inner">Time for some pampering. Everyone needs it from time to time. Especially after spending long hours in a plane! But instead of running to the next Spa try to create your own little oasis and bringt it right into your home.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s an easy way to indulge without spending a fortune or even leaving the house. <b>Here&#8217;s my routine for a SPA DAY at home as a little inspiration for your own. </b></p>
<p><span id="more-220"></span></p>
<p><b>Hot Lemon water.</b> The first thing I do right after getting up early mornings I drink a big cup of hot lemon water. It detoxifies the body from all the waste which was stored over night, gives you a good dose of vitamin C which boosts your immune system as well regulates your digestion.</p>
<p><b>Meditation &amp; Journaling. </b>The next thing I normally do is sitting in silence. Just for a couple of minutes. For that I use my favorite spot on our balcony, stare at the sea and just let my mind slowly fall into place while sipping on my lemon water. Sometimes I write down my thoughts or goals for that day.</p>
<p><b>Practice. </b>If I don`t have a morning yoga class I usually start my own practice right before breakfast. For you, it don`t has to be yoga just pick your favorite workout and start a routine. If you need some ideas or support there are plenty of youtube videos from all different kind of activities. Important is that you move and stretch your body, at least for 20 minutes. To completely surrender it helps me to turn on some music and lighten up some incense.</p>
<p><b>Breakfast Smoothie. </b>I normally mix everything up what I have in my fridge ( yeah I had kinda strange variations ) but most of the time they taste really yummy. So go ahead and look what you can find or be prepared with some of your favorite fruits and veggies. Smoothies are a great way to breakfast, since you can bring them along wherever you go. They also fill you up enough to stay active until lunch.</p>
<p><b>Dry Brush &amp; Aromatherapy. </b>If your day is a bit tighter choose hooping in the shower. But before you do that take 5 minutes to dry brush your entire body. Dry brushing helps improve circulation and flushes the lymphatic system. Take a long, hot shower and then try a <span style="color: #000000;"><a style="color: #000000;" href="http://www.wholisticmindfullife.com/index.php/homepage/blog/53-d-i-y-body-scrubs" rel="alternate">homemade <span style="color: #f5cc8e;">body scrub</span></a></span> to exfoliate your skin. Choose natural shower gels / oils with lavender for relaxation or stimulating ones like eucalyptus for a more energizing effect. Afterwards moisturize your body all the way from head to toe.</p>
<p>If you like to surrender and spend some more time in the bathroom have a bath with some sea salt or even freshly picked flower petals to give you a bit of Bali vibe. The good thing here is that you have time to add two more treats: Hair and <span style="color: #f5cc8e;"><a style="color: #f5cc8e;" href="http://www.wholisticmindfullife.com/index.php/homepage/blog/54-d-i-y-facial-mask" rel="alternate">Facial mask</a>.</span> I also love to light up some candles while being in the tub.</p>
<p><b>Infused Detox Water</b>. Make sure to always drink plenty of water, especially when you are living in a tropical climate and sweat a lot. A good alternative to normal water and sugary juices is <span style="color: #f5cc8e;"><a style="color: #f5cc8e;" href="http://www.wholisticmindfullife.com/index.php/homepage/blog/56-fruit-infused-water" rel="alternate">fruit infused water.</a></span> Make a whole batch of it to have enough for the rest of your day.</p>
<p><b>Lunch. </b>Prepare some homemade lunch where you choose to use fresh and natural ingredients only. This is the time where I normally have a big bowl of Salad, the more color the better.</p>
<p><b>Reading &amp; Relaxation. </b>Spend some time reading, relaxing or power napping.</p>
<p><b>Breathe. </b>Walk through the forest, the snow, the rain or stroll on the beach. As long as you breathe in fresh air its fine. If you don`t want to leave the house, open the windows instead and take a couple of deep breathes or do some rounds of Pranayama.</p>
<p><b>Mani / Pedi. </b>If you have some time left. Squeeze in some beauty treat for your nails and toes. While doing your hands you can dipp your feet into warm water. Infuse it with some drops of pure essential oil. I like to use peppermint for my feet.</p>
<p><b>Dinner.</b> Have some light and good digestible food. Ideal would be a stew or soup.</div>

				<div class="et_pb_text_inner"><p>I love making face masks from foods, like avocado or using apple cider vinegar as a toner and rubbing coconut oil pretty much everywhere. By putting on a mask which is so rich in nutrients you give your skin the opportunity to recharge and absorb what it needs,  to make you look and feel even more beautiful! So wear it with dignity while doing all the other stuff like cooking, reading, writing, having a bath or even sweating the floor. So here are two of my absolute favorites which literally let you glow.</p>

<p><span style="font-size: 14pt;"><strong>Raw Honey &amp; Coconut Oil Mask</strong></span></p>
<p>First thing that you should know is that not all honey is created equal. Unfortunately, most of the honey found in grocery stores has been processed with heat, which kills off healing enzymes and destroys a lot of the nutrient-rich content. Raw honey on the other hand is still full of these healing enzymes and nutrients that are very beneficial for your skin. Did you also know that Raw Honey has the ph of 4.5.?  This means it falls within our skin’s naturally pH level. With Raw Honey we mean honey as it exists without being heated above 47 degrees Celsius.</p>
<p>Virgin Coconut Oil gets quickly absorbed by the skin which makes it to a good carrier oil for natural cosmetic products.</p>

<p><strong>Here is what you to need:</strong></p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">1 teaspoon Virgin Coconut Oil</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">1 teaspoon raw Honey</p>
<p><strong>Here is what you do:</strong></p>
<p>Mix the Virgin Coconut Oil and the Raw Honey together in a bowl until it gets a bit more creamy. Depending on the honey, if it gets to liquid add a bit more honey or reduce the amount of oil.</p>
<p>Take your fingertips or a cosmetic brush and apply the mixture on to your face.</p>
<p>Let mixture rest on your face for about 15 min and then rinse off gently with warm water. Pat dry your face with a soft towel.</p>
<p>Note: This mask might drip a bit so have a towel next to you!</p>
<p><span style="font-size: 14pt;"><b>Spirulina Detox Mask</b></span></p>
<p>Turmeric is a natural antiseptic which means it acts against bacteria and inflammation. In Asia it is know as a good remedy to speed up wound-healing.</p>
<p>Spirulina improves age spots, eczema, acne and rashes.</p>
<p>Coconut oil. What can I say. It`s just an all-rounder an my all time favorite oil and its list of health benefits is endless. In the beauty field it provides moisture by strengthening the underlying tissues as well protects your hair from sunlight.</p>

<p><strong>Here is what you need:</strong></p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">1 teaspoon Spirulina powder</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">1/2 teaspoon virgin coconut oil</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">1/2 teaspoon water</p>
<p><strong>Here is what you do:</strong></p>
<p>Mix everything together in a ceramic bowl adding a tiny bit of water as needed just enough to make the mask spreadable.</p>
<p>Apply enough of the mixture to cover your face using your hands.</p>
<p>Leave the mask on for 20-30 minutes.</p>
<p>Rinse off with warm water and a soft washcloth.</p>
<p>Note:</p>
<p>Spirulina as well Tumeric are staining! So take care of your clothes ( I always wear a bikini applying that mask ) and use an old washcloth to clear your skin!</p>
<p>Don`t be scared if your face looks a bit yellow after the first wash, it goes away after the second round 😉</p></div>

<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">All you need is:</span></p>
<p>4 tablespoons rocky sea salt ( the rougher the salt the rougher the scrub)</p>
<p>1 tablespoon olive oil or grape seed oil</p>
<p>1 lemon</p>
<p>First mix the olive oil and sea salt together. Once the salt gets coated by the oil, the lemon won’t dissolve it! Next cut the lemon in half and squeeze it over the salt + oil mixture.</p>
<p>Little note: If you have any small open wounds or even little cuts, this might burn the hell out of you!!</p>
<p><span style="font-size: 14pt; color: #333333;"><b>Coffee Sugar rub</b></span></p>
<p>Coffee is great for exfoliating and reducing the appearance of cellulite by tightening the tissue.</p>
<p>Since I love coffee it makes sense that I want to scrub it all over the place 🙂</p>

<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">All you need is: </span></p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">2 tablespoons grounded Coffee</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">2 tablespoons brown Sugar</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">3 tablespoon Coconut oil</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">A pinch Cinnamon</p>
<p>Just mix the coffee powder together with the brown sugar, cinnamon and your oil of your choice. Bam and Done!</p>
<p>Little note: I don’t think you are supposed to let coffee grounds wash down the drain.  So I use a mesh drain plug to catch the grounds and then discard them in the garbage. But if any of you are plumbers and feel differently, let me know 😉</p>
<p><span style="font-size: 14pt; color: #333333;"><strong>Rosmary Lavender scrub</strong></span></p>
<p>Coconut oil is great for dry, scaly or itchy skin while Lavender is has a really soothing and calming effect on your skin. So this makes it the ideal evening before &#8211; to &#8211; go &#8211; to &#8211; bed treatment.</p>
